I am unclear of how to get a minipet - Guild Wars Forums

Do I get a minipet on my birthday or GW's Anniversary? Can someone explain to me in lamens terms.

Every year since you created that char.

So if you made a new char on april 21st 2008, you'll get your anniversary minipet today.
Another one april 21st 2010, april 21st 2011 etc. This is character specific.

Also, the minipet you get will be from that year. If your charactar is going to have it's second birthday, it will get a second year minipet.

You do not have to be logged on at anytime that day. Just have an open slot in your inventory and the next time you log onto that character it will be there.

No, next time you log on after your characters birthday, as long as you have space in your inventory the birthday present will appear in your inventory.

i think what he's asking, specifically what "extra" b-day present will be given. say a character is 44 months old. will it get a b-day present from the b-day coming up (4th year) or from b-day past (3rd year) for the anniversery?

do /age to see how old the char. is. As long as you have an open slot in your inv you'll get your present.

As far as is known, no "extra" birthday present will be given. If you made a character during the first week of release of GW waaaay back when, then you'll get a fourth year gift this week. Otherwise, they'll come as your characters turn one, two, three, or four years old, as normal.

I was not referring to extra bday presents.

Type /age, you will see:

You have played this character for ____ hours, ___ minutes over the past ____ months.

If the third blank says 12, 24, 36, or 48, then you will get a first, second, third or fourth-year birthday present respectively.

On your char's birthday and only your char's birthday(give or take a few days). The GW anniversary just happens to coincide with the birthdays of those that where playing for the very beginning.
